This is a concept project for a game I am calling "Koi Samurai vs the Octi Triad." As a creative outlet, I have been developing the initial ideas and artwork for this game concept.

The game follows the adventures of a samurai fish character named Koi as he battles against a criminal organization of octopi known as the Octi Triad. 

For this Behance project, I will be showcasing concept sketches and digital illustrations that visually establish the characters, settings, and style for the Koi Samurai game. Additional sketches and art will be added over time as I continue to develop the concept.

This project represents the beginning of what I hope will someday be a fully realized game. I welcome any thoughts or feedback on the concept in the comments section of this page. As I create new artwork and finalize ideas for the Koi Samurai game concept, I will post updates here.

The game opens with our hero, Koji the Samurai Koi, practicing his swordsmaship in a once peaceful pond filled with pristine white lotus flowers. The other ornamental koi swim happily. Suddenly, vile inky blackness begins seeping into the pond from the drain pipes, wilting lotus flowers as it spreads. Sinister agents emerge - the Octo Clan Triad foot soldiers!

The Octo Clan have come to take control of the pond and harvest the unique lotuses to manufacture their addictive and mind-altering "Shade" narcotic. The Triad foot soldiers laugh nefariously as they toss shurikens, frightening away the regular koi. Koji realizes that the fate of the pond and its inhabitants rests on his fins.

In the first level, Koji must traverse the side-scrolling pond, using his samurai skills to slash through Octo Clan squads and save white lotus patches. He rallies allies like frogs and turtles to help protect sections of the pond. Koji must also face increasingly dangerous sub-bosses like the Twin Tempura Shrimps and King Toad.

Upon stopping the decay of lotuses in the upper pond, Koji realizes the true mastermind behind the Octo Clan's scheme - the ruthless Lord Ozaru. As Koji heads for the central pond overrun by the Octo Clan's operation, he must liberate brainwashed allies like koi nobles and giant kappa turtles from the Shade's influence.

The final battle promises to be an epic showdown against Lord Ozaru himself in his secret subaquatic lair, reachable through twisting drain pipe passages. Koji will need all his samurai prowess to defeat Lord Ozaru and restore the tranquil pond once again for all its peaceful denizens. Justice shall prevail against the forces of darkness!
